A simple criteria is basically a list of what you look for in a website you are judging. It can be anything that you feel a website should meet to get your award.A sample Criteria might look like this.
The above is only a general guide line to what your criteria might look like. If you want you may copy it and modify it to use on your website Article created by Randy Laduron Webmaster Awards club

Some webmaster use a point system to evaluate a site for their award. The do this by assigning points to different factors they judge a web site by.They award points by deciding how close a website comes to meeting those ideal factors. Sample of factors Links must work That means if all your links work you will get all the points, but for every link that doesn't points will be deducted
loadtime That means the webmaster has a best load time the closest your site comes to the best load time the more points you will get.
Spelling That means good spelling, good grammar, for words spelled incorrect you lose points
Those are just a few of the factors used in most point systems If you use a point system you will have to fiqure the factors you want to use the number of points given for each factor, the number subtracted for each mistake Most points system awards have a scale to judge by if the web site entered has enough points to win their award Say to win a site must receive at least 90 points if the site doesn't they don't get the award Some sites offer awards in different classes like gold, silver, bronze They set scales for each, gold being the top scale, bronze being the least If you use a point system judge each site by the same standard and you shouldn,t have any trouble Article created by Randy Laduron Webmaster Awards club

DON,T MAKE AN IMPOSSIBLE CRITERIA FOR WINNING If you make it almost impossible to win your award it will not be fun running the awards program. No one will have the award you worked hard in creating displayed on their web site.If you make a website follow a criteria your site couldn't even make, that's not fair or right. No website is perfect if a website has to be perfect your award will be rarely be given out.Plus perfection is in the eye of the beholder. One persons perfect website might be someone else rotten looking one.You must set some standard to judge sites by,but set a standard that is possible to win,set a standard your own site could meet.
